So this is my first post on my brand new blog…and what am I reading right now? I wish I could say it was something literary, like Homer’s Iliad, but no, it’s Betrayed by P.C. & Kristin Cast. Betrayed is the second novel in the House of Night series. I’m not normally a fan of stories about vampires (although I do like magician/witch stories…more on that in a later post), but in my last library gig, I was in charge of teen programming. So, I gave in and read the Twilight books. Ok, ok, I actually only read the first one & skimmed the second. I had a friend fill me in on what happened in the last two. How anyone can get past the writing is beyond me! But I’m no snob*…I thought I’d give vampire books another shot. After all, it seemed that most Young Adult books had at least one vampire or two. So that’s how I started reading the House of Night series – for work related reasons. However, I kind of like it. Which is why I’m reading the second book right now, even though I’m no longer planning library programs for teens
